WAY OF LIFE

Our Way of Life class is a 7-week community group led by ministry leaders at the church. We take a deeper dive into the values that shape our church and enable us to live on mission, Reaching People & Building Lives. This 7-week class also serves as an introduction to Community Groups here at Freedom Church.

We believe that life with Freedom Church is fully realized when we live according to our values. However, our values are not automatic, we have to live into them. Life with Jesus at Freedom Church consists of a few key rhythms. Through these commitments, we are ordering our lives around Jesus’ way of life and allowing ourselves to be transformed, both as individuals and as a spiritual family. We invite you to partner with us in this life as disciples of Jesus.

BIBLE → SLOW READ THE BIBLE & PRAYER

The Bible isn’t just about information but transformation. Slow, reflective reading forms us to live under the Bible, not just consume it quickly.

Unhurried reading of Scripture is one of the ways we allow the Bible to read us. Each week we invite you to slow read the portion(s) of the Bible we learned from during the weekend message.

The Bible is the primary way God communicates with us, and we communicate with Him through prayer.

SPIRITUAL FAMILY → COMMUNITY

Spiritual Family comes alive when we make community a habit. It’s where we move beyond attendance into belonging.

Our weekend services are the primary times we gather as a church to worship together, learn from the Bible, pray for one another, and create space to hear from the Holy Spirit.

Through Community Groups (shared meals, encouragement, confession, praying for each other, and having fun) we believe community becomes the lived expression of what it means to be “spiritual family.”

PURPOSE → SERVING

We believe you were made on purpose & for a purpose. Not only do we believe that it is a significant privilege to partner with God to do His work in the world, we also believe it is our responsibility. In fact, you were made to partner with Him.

We believe we are called to serve one another and serve our community. Through sacrificial love to others we are actively participating in the Kingdom of God.

FORMATION → MARGIN

Formation is often seen as “adding skills” or “getting better,” but Biblically, it's about being rooted in Jesus. The Spirit changes us, but we have to give Him the space to change us. Prioritizing margin in our calendars and with our resources teaches trust, identity, and rest, forming character before productivity.

GENEROSITY → ALL PRACTICES INTEGRATED

Generosity is not less than financial, but it is also not just financial; it’s a posture. Each of our values and habits train generosity. They require us to align our priorities with God's priorities.

Generosity is obedience, and an overflow of these values and habits; living open-handed with God and people.
